Sage Stephens resurfaces at Stellenbosch

Sage Stephens, who’s been on the books of Cape Town City since August 2017, has finally found himself a new home at Stellenbosch FC.

Stellies has announced the acquisition of the lengthy Keeper on their twitter account, this comes after few signings that were made to bolster their squad for 2020/2021 season.

Stephens, formerly known as Lottering, joined the club on a three-year deal in 2017 and had his contract extended until the completion of the recent campaign in the PSL bio-bubble.

The 29-year-old shot-stopper managed just eight appearances behind The Citizens’ first-choice Peter Leeuwenburg in the recently completed season and will be going in search of more regular game-time elsewhere.
