Al Ahly’s new manager, Pitso Mosimane, has sent a special message to the club’s fans after taking on this new challenge.
Mosimane became the first ever South African manager to be in charge of the Red Devils after replacing Swiss manager Rene Weiler.
The 54-year-old will have a tough challenge ahead of him as Al Ahly are still in contention for the Egypt Cup and the CAF Champions League.
Following his appointment, the former Mamelodi Sundowns manager made sure to thank club president Mahmoud El-Khatib and had a special message for the fans.
“I would like to thank captain Bibo [Al Ahly president] and all the board members of Al Ahly for entrusting me with the difficult task ahead,” he told Al Ahly’s media team.
“They showed confidence in me and they believe I can take the team to a bigger and better space.
“To the Red Devils I say give the space‚ give me the time and I will take Al Ahly to the next level‚” he concluded.
