Usuthu eye fifth successive win at Leopards

AmaZulu FC will be away to Black Leopards in the DStv Premiership match at the Thohoyandou Stadium this afternoon.

Kick-off is at 15h00 CAT.

Usuthu kept up their hot streak in the league with a 2-0 victory over Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila on March 21.

Goals from Lebohang Mabotja (own-goal) and Lehlohonolo Majoro inspired Usuthu to a well-deserved victory at home.

Usuthu have taken 13 points from nine away matches this season, with their last result on the road a 1-0 win at Chippa United in early March.

Meanwhile, Leopards broke a three-game losing streak when they fought back to hold Mamelodi Sundowns 1-1 away on March 21.

Roderick Kabwe scored Lidoda Duvha’s equalising goal in a game that was played at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium.

Lidoda Duvha have claimed seven points from 10 home matches this season, with their last result as hosts a 3-1 loss to Golden Arrows in early March.

In head-to-head stats, Leopards and AmaZulu have met in 17 top-flight league matches since the 2001/02 season.

Usuthu have claimed eight wins compared to six for Lidoda Duvha, while three games have been drawn.

The Limpopo side has recorded four wins from eight matches as hosts in the rivalry, suffering two defeats in the process.

When the teams met earlier this season, at Kings Park Stadium in November 2020, AmaZulu claimed a 2-0 home win thanks to a brace of goals from Luvoyo Memela.
