South African coach Pitso Mosimane, Al-Ahly coach, decided his position to continue with the red team until the end of his contract. A source at Al-Ahly revealed in exclusive statements, Leela Koura, today, Wednesday, that Mosimani informed Mahmoud Al-Khatib, the club’s president and authorized to oversee the football sector two days ago, that he would continue with the team and had no intention of leaving to train South Africa.
The source said: “Mosimane touched the administration’s strong adherence to him, and there is a state of love that the coach realizes when he has a project for which he has come to complete it.”
The source added that Mosimane held a session with Mahmoud Al-Khatib, during which he discussed the list of the new season and the deals he wanted … so how can he go after that to any place ?!
Mosimane had received an offer to coach the South African national team, but he refused and insisted on staying at Red Castle.
It’s been reported that Minister of Sport Nathi Mthethwa made contact with the two-time CAF Champions League winner last week and SAFA had reached out again on Tuesday in an attempt to convince him to leave Egypt.
However, Yallakora has now suggested that Mosimane reiterated his desire to see out his contract with the Egyptian Premier League champions that expires at the end of next season.
