Mosimane addresses Thembinkosi Lorch transfer rumors.

Al Ahly head coach Pitso Mosimane addressed the possibility of signing Orlando Pirates striker Thembinkosi Lorch in the upcoming transfer window.

Lorch has been one of South Africa’s best players for the past years, even winning the 2018/19 PSL Footballer of the Year and Players’ Player of the Season.

In his six years with Orlando Pirates, the 27-year-old made 50 direct goal contributions in over 120 appearances but hasn’t won any major silverware apart from the 2020 MTN 8 Cup.

It has been recently reported that he has gathered interest from Premier Soccer League champions giants Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs.

While his agent denied these rumors during an interview with Sowetan, it was also reported that Al Ahly was also interested in Thembinoski’s services.

But Mosimane confirmed in a Twitter post that if they were to start negotiations to sign Lorch, he will make sure to contact Orlando Pirates chairman Irvin Khoza first.
