Following a successful start to the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Champions League zonal qualifiers draw in Cote d’Ivoire on Monday, UNAF will be next in line to start their preparations for the competition.
UNAF will conduct their draw for the North Africa Zonal Qualifiers on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 with the league winners from Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia competing for one available slot.
Egyptian league winners Wadi Degla get an automatic qualification as the team from the host nation for the final tournament of the CAF Women’s Champions League.
CECAFA will also run their draw on the same day with teams from these participating countries; Burundi, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda and Zanzibar competing for one spot.
The top six teams (one from each CAF Zone) and an extra from WAFU B (who have the defending AWCON champions) as well as the host of the final tournament (Egypt) will qualify to the final tournament.
