Baroka fires 2 stars after going AWOL
Baroka have parted ways with striker Jemondre Dickens and defender Cheslyn Jampies with immediate effect. Both players still had two years left on their respective contracts.
Cheslyn Jampies and Jemondre Dickens failed to report for duty when Baroka returned from their off-season break earlier this month and were subsequently hurled into a club disciplinary hearing. They were absent for three days without giving a club a valid reason
Dickens and Jampies both have great talents and a history of ill-discipline that almost ended their careers. Where to from now as teams will be scared to take the risk of signing them.
In 2018 Baroka also fired goalkeeper Oscarine Masuluke and head coach Kgoloko Thobejane for improper behaviour, although both have since returned to the club.
