AFCON draw pits Bafana against Morocco, Zimbabwe and Liberia

Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos finally knows the identity of his team’s opponents in the journey to the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations after the draw for the qualifiers was conducted in Randburg, Johannesburg, on Tuesday evening.

The route to the continental tournament to be played in Côte d’Ivoire next year saw the Senior Men’s National Team pitted against Morocco, Zimbabwe and Liberia in Group K.

Broos used the recent international friendly matches against world champions France and Guinea as part of his preparations for the start of the qualifying programme in June.

The Senior National Team did not qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations finals in Cameroon in the beginning of the year, but the Belgian coach has not hidden his desire to address the setback and plot a course to the tournament.
