New Transfer dates for Premier Soccer League have been confirmed for 2020/21 season.

The Premier Soccer League have confirmed the dates of the new transfer window as well as the start date of the 2020/21 season.

PSL chairman Irvin Khoza on Friday announced that the 2020/21 season will kick-off on October 8, following the completion of the current unfinished 2019/20 campaign.

The transfer window to accompany the new season will open on September 22 and will run for just three and a half weeks until October 17.

This revised dates for the January, otherwise known as mid-season, transfer window have also been shift by a month from 1 February to 1 March 2021.

These developments are all as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, which halted football for four months while the country observed strict lockdown conditions.

A few clubs, including Mamelodi Sundowns, have already bolstered their squads for the 2020-21 season and their signings can only be registered when the current campaign is done and dusted.

These players include George Maluleka and Lesedi Kapinga while the likes of Ricardo Goss, Gift Motupa and Haashim Domingo are expected to join from Bidvest Wits.
