Lebogang Manyama wins PSL goal of the month award

The PSL has announced the winners for February/March ahead of the return of league matches on Tuesday. Kaizer Chiefs attacker Lebogang Manyama has bagged the Goal of the Month award for the month of February/March, the PSL and the club announced on Monday.

The goal that earned Manyama the individual gong came on February 29 against archrivals Orlando Pirates. His individual brilliance in the build-up to the goal saw him evade a couple of Pirates players before unleashing a powerful low drive from the edge of the 18-yard area into the net

The COVID-19 lockdown put a break in all domestic football operations including the monthly awards, though with the 2019/20 season back in action, the PSL has since revealed the winners of the Absa Premiership coach of the month, player of the month and goal of the month.

Eric Tinkler, Daylon Claasen and Lebogang Manyama, the restart of league action will coincide with all three receiving their monthly accolades, as recipients of the Absa Premiership Coach, Player and Goal of the month for February/March 2020, respectively.
