Kaizer Chiefs opened a six-point lead at the top

Kaizer Chiefs and Stellenbosch FC settled for a share of spoils following a 1-1 draw at Orlando Stadium on Sunday night. 

Subseqeuntly, Ernst Middendorp’s men have opened a six-point lead at the top of the PSL standings while Steve Barker’s charges remained ninth with three league games to go. Lelethu Skelem opened the scoring for Stellenbosch in the first half but a second half strike by Lazarous Kambole rescued a point for Amakhosi. 

Kambole got stuck in 58 minutes gone after cutting in from the left to bring the best out of Langeveldt with a fiery close-range strike inside the area. His first goal for the team.

he Zambian made his presence felt following the last 20 minutes when he controlled a looping ball into the area to slot beyond Langeveldt for his first goal for the club.

Stellenbosch almost regained the lead minutes to the end, but Du Preez went into the side-netting from a cross with the Amakhosi caught square leaving the spoils shared in Soweto.
