Baroka chairman, Khurishi Mphahlele, confirmed that the former FIFA Puskás Award nominee has reunited with the club.
“Oscarine Masuluke is coming back. We have signed him, my son is coming back,” the chairman told the Siya crew.
The Limpopo outfit pulled off a great result on the weekend in their 1-1 draw with Kaizer Chiefs to avoid going to the relegation/promotion play-offs, and now the club has signed former goalkeeper Oscarine Masuluke, who is coming back from TS Sporting in the second tier.
After succeeding in avoiding relegation in what was a difficult season for them due to inconsistent results, Baroka FC have already started with their preparations for next season by signing players.
In February 2018, Masuluke – along with former Baroka head coach Kgoloko Thobejane and captain Olaleng Shaku – were implicated in a drinking scandal.
The trio was then dismissed by the club for allegedly drinking on the team bus after Baroka’s 2-0 defeat to Free State Stars in Premier Soccer League (PSL) match at the Goble Park Stadium.
“We are just saying that we need to be professional. If he has realized that what he did was wrong, then why can’t we forgive him,” he added.
The 26-year-old player recently disclosed that he was sacked by Bakgaga because of a drinking problem.
Even though Masuluke apologised for his behaviour, it still cost him a professional contract with the Limpopo-based side.
“He is an honest boy. I hope that the other guys can do the same thing because we are not victimizing anybody,” Mphahlele told Lim Sports Zone.
