Teko: Themba Zwane to defend his awards

It has been six games for Mamelodi Sundowns and no loss has been recorded in the DStv Premiership. Masandawana has won four games and two draws. This has been a great start for the Brazilians and club legend Daniel Mudau took some time and spoke about the great start the boys have had.

“Mamelodi Sundowns have collected almost seventeen points in seven games and my thought is that they are in a good run of 2020/21 season and they will be the strong contenders to win the 1st DSTV Premier League if they continue gaining points”, said Mambush

The Brazilians have scored seventeen goals this season so far and Themba Zwane has contributed seven of the seventeen. Mambush has more than eighty goals for the Brazilians and he feels that if Mshishi maintains the rate he is playing at the moment then nothing will stop him.

“Mshishi, this boy is still going to surprise many people. His skill and work rate make him very special. I can assure you that with the rate that he is scoring goals I won’t be surprised if he breaks my scoring record at Mamelodi Sundowns or he comes close to it,” concluded Mambush.

Even Bafana Bafana legend Teko Modise believes Mamelodi Sundowns star Themba Zwane will go on to join him in the PSL’s record books.

Teko Modise is the only player to have won the PSL Player of the Season award twice after coming out triumphant in 2007/08 and 2008/09 while Themba Zwane’s blistering start to the current campaign puts him as a firm favourite to defend his crown as the league’s best.

Themba Zwane followed up on his 2019/20 heroics by scoring seven goals in the opening seven games of the 2020/2021 PSL campaign while assisting one further goal. He has been critical to Mamelodi Sundowns impressive start to the season making them early favourite to defend their title.
