Egypt national team head coach Hossam El-Badry praised Al Ahly coach Pitso Mosimane
El-Badry coached Al Ahly on several occasions with his last stint being between 2016 and 2018. Since then he was Pyramids FC’s chairman for one year, before being appointed as the Egypt national team manager.
With the Pharaohs, he managed to reach the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations after finishing top of their qualifying group. His next challenge will be to guide them to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. The qualifiers, were set to take place in June before CAF made the decision to postpone it to October.
“We are all African coaches, so let’s not differentiate. Mosimane succeeded in achieving what was required of him and won all the tournaments that he led the Reds in since joining them. We must rate him on the most important thing which is winning, let’s not focus on where he comes from,” he concluded.
